Twice nominated for a Golden Globe award in the ‘Best Original Song’ category, Maurice Seezer is a musician, songwriter and film score composer. His score for Jim Sheridan’s film ‘In America’, co-written with Gavin Friday, was nominated for an Ivor Novello award in 2004 as was the song ‘In The Name Of The Father’, co-written with Friday and Bono for the film of the same name, in 1995.
Maurice Seezer collaborated with Gavin Friday on three albums for Island Records between 1989 and 1995 and toured extensively with him around Europe and America. Maurice has also worked with many other artists including Bono, Maria McKee, Sinead O’Connor, Andrea Corr as co-writer and arranger. Since the early 90’s he has contributed to a number of soundtracks for Jim Sheridan, Baz Luhrmann, Michael Rhymer, Kirsten Sheridan and Neil Jordan.
