How to Enter

We invite you to send 2 PAL DVD copies of your film. The maximum running time should be 15 minutes excluding titles provided they run for no more than 1 extra minute.

Please make sure your film DVDs are clearly labelled and marked with the projection format, ie 4×3, 14×9 or 16×9.

Please print and fill in the appropriate pdf submission form provided on this website.

There are two separate forms, one for the Corona Fastnet Short Film Competition (open to all filmmakers over 18 years on 1st March 2010 and carrying a prize of €2,500). Within this competition there are additional cash prizes of €250 for the categories of Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Drama, Best Comedy, Best Documentary, Best Animation, Best Original Music, Best Cinematography and Best Experimental/ Dance. The second pdf submission form is for the Young Fastnet Short Film Competition (open to all filmmakers aged 22 years or younger on 1st March 2010 and carrying a cash prize of €2,500). There are no additional prize categories for this competition.

If a filmmaker is aged between 18 – 22 and wishes to enter both competitions, then they may do so with the same film provided they fill in both entry forms and pay the fee for each separate competition. In this case there would be no need to submit additional copies of the film or the film’s promotional material.

Please enclose the additional material that we need in order to produce the Festival Programme.

1. A brief synopsis of your film.

2. A brief biography of the director (50 – 100 words).

3. Some still photographs from the film on CD or DVD.

4. The administration fee of €10.

5. Evidence of permission where non original material is used in the film ie non original Music or Film material.

6. Completed entry form signed by the entrant.

Please note that only films completed on or after 1st January 2008 are eligible for entry into our festival competitions
